Whats Hiding under this Imperial helmet ?
Some readers on Buzzfeed and on this blog were shocked by one of my last post about Lilo and Stich grown up.
I was accused of ” raping childhood memory ” of some ( very open minded ) people.
Why ? … Because i was showing a different angle of a well known artist who happened to make movies for kids but who can also make cartoons with sensuality and big boobs in it ( YES BOOBS end of the world … )
So i am Happy and Proud to keep showing you some artist sexy vision of one great childhood memory : Star wars
Feng Zhu is an illustrator who work for movie design and cover art, and actually he worked on the designs of the Star Wars Episode III, Revenge of the Sith for Lucasfilm
As you can see he did some pretty cool Posters for calling young male around the galaxy to Join the empire.
[…] Blastr posted this article on some cool recruitment posters drawn by Feng Zhu, who had worked for Lucasfilm on some of the designs/artowrk for Revenge of the Sith. The original article was from The Swedish Bed. […]
I acutally saw these Pin-Ups some time ago via TheForce.net, and they’re still fantastic. Truth be told, I’ve seen better on DeviantArt and from Artists like Oni and Mirawi (both of whom do *alot* of Adult/XXX rated Star Wars art) which capture the original look of the 1940s era Pin-Ups for the Armed Services better. Still, these are just great and Feng really shows his talent.
I followed the link here from Scifiwire and alot of comments mirrored those here. That posters like this would seem out of place or they’re not Canon. Being a Epic Star Wars Nerd myself, I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had discussions about how the Films (both OT and PT) are the only things that matter and content inspired by or from the Expanded Universe does not apply. Often, I’m shocked at how vehement some of my fellow fans can get over this. After-all, we’re not Trekkies. Often, I’ve tried to be the mediator by imparting my own view point about the EU and the “canon” issue.
I look at this way; you have the G.L. Universe (i.e. the Trilogies, TCW, etc) which could be considered the “Canon” Universe, then you have the EU (The Thrawn trilogy, KOTOR, etc) which can be considered an alternate timeline where many similar things happened in the timeframe depicted in the films but certain details occured differently in the past and post RotJ. I’ve always felt this is how Lucasbook and Del-Ray before it should have approached the EU in regards to the Films, sadly, they’ve often had to ret-con the EU because of something featured in the PT or TCW. The issue with Karen Traviss was a perfect example of that.
Still, at the end of the day, when it comes to Art like what we see above, I think the fans should just be able to enjoy it, either in a very “guy” way, or just because it’s some awesome looking Star Wars Art.

Like it! Catthouse is a bit too much for me. This is just nice 😉
Fans (or creators) of any narrative series whose Genesis took the form of a popcorn movie, short-lived television program or arcade game (vis Star Trek, Star Wars, Mario Bros) have no business using the word “canon” as a standard of authenticity. When comparing different vintages of Hawaiian Punch, do you swoon over its “bouquet”?
Rationale: A screenplay is no longer than the average short story. It’s too thin of a story base. Subsequent commercial success of that thin base results in too much “canon” that is crafted solely to sell dolls. Can you imagine if _Dune_ had begun as a movie (a hit movie in this hypothetical) and then was “novelized” due to its success? The author would never have been allowed to write anything approaching the complexity and thoroughness of Frank Herbert’s work.
Ummm, gotta go now. Late for my remedial Klingon class.
I strongly disagree, if you actually want to imply that e.g. Star Wars and Star Trek should be “canon-less”. Canon is not a question of quantity but of veracity—what is considered to actually exist, have happend, whatnot, within the fictional universe.
My post was condescending and ill-humored. I do not consider it canonical to what I’m really like.
Please, everyone, carry on.
Can you get these in poster sized prints?
Would there be any chance of getting these in high-res? Or have you published them to buy as posters somewhere that I can go have a look at?
These are extremely well done pictures, hats off to you 🙂
It’s a trap!!!
A LineTrap?
Super!!!!!
alright where do i sign up at xD pretty sweet stuff here lol 😮
wow. Who could not like this? Anyone complaining because it’s “not canon” really needs to get his testicles checked for cancer.

o wonder the empire had so many troops. I’m so going on the dark side now.
Yup. Empire has my vote. What, the rebels only have Princess Leia and Mon Mothma? What-EVs.
@n00bpwner: but who’s gonna staff all those gigantic star cruisers, star destroyers, and AT-ATs? Not all those dudes were clones. A LOT, but not all.
you should have a tag line like “learn to shoot like a stormtrooper”
which is all kinds of funny because they can’t hit anything.
With reference to my comments on the girls-in-paintings thread: Here we have hotness—which, I argue, is not the same thing as beauty.
Always have been a fan of the darkside…this only proves a little further why 🙂
kinda disappointed there’s no Rebel Alliance recruitment posters.
okay I always wanted to enlist with the Imperial forces…..now I NEED to enlist with them
I don’t know if I am comfortable with these sorts of things being portrayed on the internet.
Dude…get a life. I don’t like a lot of art. You don’t like it…don’t look at it. There’s stuff a trillion times worse than this easily accessible. “These sorts of things being portrayed on the internet?” Dude…study your history. You are a doctor and are supposedly educated. They used art — specifically enticing portraits of women with men throughout WWII for recruitment. They also used powerful images like Rosy the Riveter to get women to return to the workforce to support the war effort. This is animation for a pop movie classic. What’s the big deal? Geez. Loser. Get a life. Hope no one in a car wreck ever gets treated by you. You might not want to look at areas of the anatomy because they offend your delicate sensibilities.
Whoa dude, take it easy. I think you missed the dry humor in ben’s comment. I think most (if not all) of the viewers of this page realize that these images are pretty tame compared to some of the more infamous material that the internet is able to deliver. Learn to recognize a joke when you see one.
Haha, retard. Initial comment was humorous, your extremely aggressive misunderstanding was HIlarious
haha ..this is nice work great find
I would love to have one of these on my wall. Is there anywhere one can purchase these?
Geeky meets sexy. Nice job!
This is seriously not Star Wars canon, everyone knows that the soldiers for the Empire were all clones, i.e. no need for real recruitment.
Nevertheless, nice pinups, props to artist!
Actually, after the third movie, the empire and Kamino started to dislike each other (can’t remember why off the top of my head) and they started phasing out clones and started to ‘recruit’ regular people from around the galaxy. Mostly it was just people from the planets they conquered but some people (like Han Solo actually) voluntarily joined the ranks of Stormtroopers.
Do some research moron, The cloning processes were stopped after a while because it was slowly considered to be “corruptible ” by the Jedi and rebel forces, So it became to a stage where the empire took other sources as clones, like none humans and eventually just recruited people. Basically a down shift. A fully trained clonetrooper of the clone wars would kicked a Stormies ass any day of the week, except if said stormie was a member of the 501st which is the one of the only surviving original clone to storm trooper unit
still in service.
@N00bpwner I’m pretty sure it was the Republic troops that were the clones of Jango Fett, bred on the planet Kamino. Troops from the Empire were people, so your comment is incorrect and void.
@Michael, The Republic became the Empire after order 66 was issued and all clone troops turned on their Jedi leaders. The Clones eventually became Storm Troopers after the phase out of Kamino Clones, then the Empire began to use clones from multiple sources as well as enlisted troops.
This is all explained on the starwars.com website.
Here is a cut/paste from the official website…
“Following the rise of the Empire, the military cloning program expanded to include new clone hosts. By the time of the Empire consolidated its power by dissolving the Senate, the ranks of the Imperial stormtroopers would include cloned infantry from multiple sources as well as birth-born conscripts and recruits from various worlds. “
actually, n00bpwner, later on into the empire’s reign they started recruiting. i.e. why the stormtroopers dont have that kiwi accent in the original trilogy.
As far as I’m concerned, the prequel trilogy isn’t even canon, so I think I can live with this.
And these posters are awesome.
clones were actually all dead by the time of the a new hope if not dead too old
Whoa, that’s hot
Indeed!
haha! these are great!
awesome stuff. are these (also the Lilo ones) available anywhere at higher resolution? would love to have a few 8x10s (roughly letter or A4 size) to put up on the wall…
Interesting……….
I want to be recruited! Please to be providing with a beefcake poster of a Death Star fireman. Mm, yeah, flex those midichlorian-enhanced abs. My apartment’s only a few parsecs from here, you know.
Also, I guess there are only white women of European descent working for the Empire!
Considering the Empire’s tactics and uniforms were modeled after the Nazis, umm, yeah, they’d only pick white chicks. Their loss.
LOL — yeah…see your point. Don’t get jealous though…the Alliance is an equal opportunity recruiter and you don’t have to blow a wrinkled prune of a white guy with an itty bitty…well you get the gist of it…to get the job.
As a counterpoint to all this cheesecake, someone should do an “Emperor Palpatine wants YOU!” poster. That would be very attractive. 😛
I was inspired by your suggestion:
Damn, link fail. I meant this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/alycia_b/4530514976/
The dark side is indeed mire “seductive”. 😉
Agreed 😉
LMAO
😀
hOLY COW! wHAT A GREAT COLLECTION!
OOPS….
there. “Inside voice.” Great collection!
